📂 Folder Scanning and Analysis
The app scans your selected root music folder and its subfolders, treating each subfolder as a potential album. It counts tracks and discs, and attempts to parse artist and album information from folder names using common naming conventions. It also intelligently detects **"Various Artists"** albums by analyzing track-level artists.
🔍 MusicBrainz Matching
Using the parsed information, the app queries the MusicBrainz database to find potential matches. It applies strict matching logic to ensure accuracy, checking for exact track/disc counts and preferring digital media or CD releases. It includes **fallback searches** for better compilation matching (e.g., using the entire folder name as the album title for Various Artists).
📋 Interactive Album List
The Treeview interface shows all scanned albums with their current and proposed metadata. You can review matches, see detailed track information (by **right-clicking** a matched album), and select which albums to process. A **manual search option** is available via right-click for unmatched albums.
✅ Tagging & Organization
The app writes metadata to your audio files and can optionally reorganize them into a clean folder structure (Artist/Album). Successfully tagged albums are **automatically removed** from the list, keeping your focus on remaining unmatched or untagged items. Untagged albums are moved to a separate folder, keeping your collection organized.
